Norway is known as the land of mountains and fjords. But what few know, is that these mountains and fjords hide some of the best snow conditions in the world. The northern parts of Norway, like Bodø and Meløy, contain outstanding backcountry skiing, remote enough that the powder is all but untouched.

Our avalanche courses give you the tools to navigate this incredible landscape on your own, safely. While our guided ski trips offer you in-depth, local knowledge from our experienced, qualified and enthusiastic guides.

Here´s a quick overview of the trips we have planned in the near future. If you wish to book a trip outside of these days, please don´t hesitate to contact us at

Level of difficulty

Moderate fitness and agility are required. You should be capable of skiing up- and downhill in unprepared trails, carrying a backpack for 6–7 hrs, even if weather and snow conditions are bad. All our tours are for skiers with previous experience. It is also highly recommended to undertake some training to build your fitness before you come. We will adjust the routes according to local weather and snow conditions to ensure maximum safety and enjoyment.

We tailor our trips & training  to suit your needs, from day trips, to multi-day excursions hitting a variety of mountains.

First and foremost Bodø. Meløy in Northern-Norway is situated a couple of hours drive south from Bodø and has mountains that offer a variety of possibilities. We can arrange courses in other places as well.

For the cross-country skiing tour we will stay in a tent and in snow shelters. For all the other trips/training: Stay nearby in a house, cabin or campsite. Contact us if you would like help. *We may notify you of other plans.

What to bring

On these courses we spend most of the time out on the mountain and you need to have suitable clothing and equipment including a small day pack to carry your safety equipment and any personal items you may need. Cross-country trips: skis with steel edges & skins. Alpine Touring, Telemark skis or snowboards (with snowshoes) are suitable for our avalanche training courses and tour skiing.
